Rally Information

Venue
The organisers are very grateful to Mr & Mrs Smylie for the use of Sunderland hall. Sunderland Hall lies in the heart of the Scottish Borders, where you will find a special welcome awaits you. The area is known for its striking beauty, superb walks, splendid museums, friendly people, good hotels and smashing food. 

Directions
You will find us off the A7 opposite Lindean, 3 miles from Galashiels and 2 miles from Selkirk. You can also reach us via the A68 and then take the A6091 until you reach the A7, first exit at roundabout and travel about 3 miles. The event will be sign posted on the day.

Arrival Times
The rally field will be open to all entrants from 3pm on Thursday 14th September 2017. The Reception Caravan is located on the edge of the ring and will be open from 9am till 5 pm on Saturday 16th and will reopen at 8am on Sunday 17th September. Please make sure you register.

The rally is open to the public from 11am on Sunday the 17th. Parking and entry for under 16's is free. Please note all dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Scenic Run
The run will leave from the ring on the field at 11.00am on Saturday the 16th . Please register at the reception caravan, which is located at the edge of the ring, where you can collect the route sheet for the run. Be ready to see some beautiful scenery, please state on the form if you intend doing the run.

Free Social Night
In the marquee on the field there will be a free hog roast supper and live music from 7.30pm to 11pm on Saturday night. Please do not take your own drink into the marquee as there will be a bar. Please state on the entry form if you will be attending.

Show Sunday
Please arrive no later than 10am. Find your compound then go to and book in at the Reception Caravan. Judging will start at 10.30am for all classes, with awards given to each class. Vehicles on Club Stands are judged as a Club and not individually. There will be a parade of Classes in the ring; times will be in the programme. Exhibitors must not leave the show field before 4.30pm.

Camping
Any exhibitors wishing to camp are very welcome, however the fee will be £10.00 per unit. Camping is available from Thursday 14th September to Monday 18th September. If you arrive in the hours of darkness, you will be asked to park on the road adjacent to the rally field. Please state on the form if you require camping and enclose the appropriate fee. If you are camping please help us by having your vehicle in your compound before 9.30am on the Sunday. There will be rolls, milk and papers for sale in the marquee on Saturday and Sunday morning. Please make sure you leave the area free of litter. Any campers who wish to help the organisers with setting up the rally field please make yourself known to a member of field staff, where your help will be much appreciated.

Alternatively, you can book yourself into the Victoria Caravan Park Selkirk, at the side of the beautiful River Ettrick, just a few minutes’ drive from the rally field. The site boasts star rated facilities which include toilets, showers, swimming pool, sauna, fitness room, cafeteria and electric hook-up. Payable locally. Club Stands
Club stand organiser, please make sure members do not enter their exhibit into class compound if they are intending to be on the stand. Members cannot enter their exhibit into class compound and same exhibit onto a club stand.

Auto jumble
As usual there a huge amount of auto jumble, crafts, charity and various other stalls.

Junior Class
Is for entrants under 16 years of age, therefore exhibit must be suitable for a child. Not suitable for Cars, Motorcycles, Tractors, Commercials Stationary Engines, Agricultural Implements, or Steam. Children under 16 years cannot legally drive or ride any exhibit on the field.

Marshals
Please try to adhere to marshals instructions at all times (and remember they are volunteers).
